What are some examples of a "hostile work environment"?
A hostile work environment can be created by anyone in the work environment, such as supervisors, co-employees, or even customers and vendors. It can consist of sexual language, the presence of sexual materials, or unwelcome physical contact. Cartoons or posters of a sexual nature, vulgar or lewd comments or jokes, or unwanted touching or fondling all fall into this category.

However, in order for there to be legally actionable hostile environment harassment it usually must occur regularly.
