Sexual Harassment
  All States
If I file a discrimination charge, what types of relief are available?

If you have been unlawfully discriminated against, you generally are entitled to a remedy that will place you in the position you would have been in if the discrimination had never occurred. If you win your case, you may be entitled to rehiring, promotion, reinstatement, back pay, and other remuneration. You may also be entitled to damages to compensate you for mental and emotional anguish, work-stress, and inconvenience. Punitive damages may be available, as well, if an employer acted with malice or reckless indifference. You may also be entitled to attorney's fees.
