I have a company-sponsored 401(k) plan. My employer refuses to get rid of the high-fee annuities. Where can I find regulatory information on 401(k)s?

Your best first stop should be the US Department of Labor  website that not only contains the regulations and statutes dealing with retirement plans but also a number of useful publications and brochures, as for example, What You Should Know About your Retirement Plan.

Another excellent website is the employee area of 401khelpcenter.com. The site contains articles on early withdrawals, distributions, rollovers, monitoring your account, your rights, loans, and so on.
