Job Discrimination
  All States
I am a caregiver to my elderly parents, which requires me to take extra time off work. Does the Americans with Disabilities Act or "ADA" prohibit bias against someone like me?

Yes. Though the ADA does not require employers to accommodate its workers with time off or schedule changes, it does prevent employers from assuming that its employees will be unable to fulfill their work responsibilities because of the time they devote to caregiving.
