Is it required in an initial job interview for a programmer's position to volunteer that you have epilepsy?

No, disclosing specific medical information, such as epilepsy, in an initial job interview is not necessary. Employers cannot inquire into medical conditions at the interview stage. Additionally, if your employer finds out, you cannot be fired if you can do your job with or without an accommodation. As a practical matter, if there is a job offer, you might want to consider telling your employer if you think it's likely that at some point you might experience an epileptic emergency while at work.
